Wrinkle Raiders Anti Aging Moisturizer Lotion includes: Distilled Water, Aloe barbadensis leaf gel (Aloe Vera), Rosemary distillate, Lavender distillate, Helicrysum distillate, DMAE, Antioxidant Herbal Extract complex, Organic Rosa mosqueta seed oil (Rose Hips), Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Glyceryl stearate, Organic Calophyllum inophyllum (Foraha), Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Cetyl Alcohol NF, Co-Enzyme Q10, Behenyl Alcohol, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C Ester), Glycerine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, d-alpha Tocopherol and Mixed Tocopherols and Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), White Tea extract, Green Tea extract, Black Willow Bark extract, Seaweed Extract, Maple Sugar Extract (AHA), Mixed Fruit Extracts (AHA), Scleroglucan, Grapefruit seed extract, L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), dl-Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B-5), Hydrolyzed Oat flour, Allantoin, Essential oils of, Salvia sclarea (Clary Sage), organic Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender), Citrus sinensis (Orange), Daucus carota (Carrot Seed), organic Helichrysum italicum (Helichrysum), Potassium Sorbate and Xanthan gum.

The main ingredients among this expansive list are Alpha Hydroxy Acids, DMAE, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and Coenzyme Q10.

First of all, we do agree with the inclusion of fruit acids, or Alpha Hydroxy Acids. These acids were originally only used under a doctor’s close supervision during chemical peels and for a designated amount of time. Since over the counter sale of AHAs started in 1992, it may not be enough time to see any effects from the continual use of acids on the skin and if they are used, it is reported that they should only be 10 percent of the topical formula. It is also noted that f it is more, it is said to be too strong of a concentration to be putting on the skin every day.

*DMAE - is said to lift and tighten aging skin, sometimes called “a facelift in a jar.” Scientists do not know at this time how DMAE works in having this effect, but it is said to have some lifting effect on the skin.

*Coenzyme Q10 and Alpha Lipoic Acid - are antioxidants. Coenzyme Q10 is also said to promote Collagen and Elastin production and act as a moisturizer, as well.

In studying the products on the Herbal Luxuries site, most of the products—including Wrinkle Raiders—are fairly inexpensive and in the $20 to $30 range. One product, Ageless Faces Anti-Aging Advanced Night Facial Moisturizer, includes Matrixyl 3000®. It also includes Hyaluronic Acid, which is a very good ingredient for anti-aging purposes. But, we believe they excluded important ingredients that work very well with Hyaluronic Acid and Matrixyl 3000®. There are products under $80 that also include Hyaluronic Acid’s synergistic partner, Collagen. Both of these ingredients are naturally-occurring substances in the skin needed to keep the skin youthful.

What we don’t understand is why they do not put their efforts into creating one potent product to reduce and prevent wrinkles and lines. Instead they promote the purchase of many products instead of one extremely potent one. This is evident in their “Face and Skin Daily Care Guide,” which takes a potential customer through eights steps in a suggested skin care guide, each step including one of their products. We believe this to be a smart marketing tactic, but we do not believe it is in the best interest of potential customers.

As mentioned, we believe that the company has many products, too many to be exact. Some contain decent ingredients that are healthy for the skin, overall; but, we think the company’s energies are dispersed in too many products, which does not enable them to create a singular “best product” to reduce and prevent fine lines and wrinkles. They came close with their Ageless Faces Anti-Aging Advanced Night Facial Moisturizer with their inclusion of Matrixyl 3000®, but we are aware of products under $80 that include additional ingredients that are scientifically proven to work synergistically with Matrixyl 3000® and Hyaluronic Acid.

The effects of Alpha Hydroxy acids over long periods of time are still not known. These acids were originally used in higher concentrations in chemical peels, but they were under the care of a physician and were only used for a specified amount of time. Consumers wishing to use the most advanced ingredients should seek those products which contain patented ingredients and are conveniently offered as free samples for evaluation.
