Skin Doctors™ Cosmeceuticals is a skincare line that promises to “help women all over the world look dramatically younger” with “no doctors, no needles, and no pain.” There are many companies on the market that make similar claims and promises, yet fail to deliver end results. For this reason, we will take a closer look at this skincare line to determine if the anti-aging products it currently promotes appear to contain high quality ingredients and effective at achieving their advertised benefits.

This brand is available in many different countries and has been on the market for 10 years now. However, the company website does not currently allow consumers in the United States to purchase these products with their checkout function.

Retanew™ is one of the Skin Doctors™ anti-aging formulas. This cream is said to address every visible sign of aging, and the company claims that the formula will decrease the appearance of wrinkles, add elasticity to the skin and improve the cell renewal process.

According to the company website, this formula contains the following ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glyceryl Stearate, Mineral Oil, Lanolin Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide -7, Stearic Acid, Cyclomethicone, Isopropyl Myristate, Retinol, BHT, Tricaprylin, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Cyclopentasiloxane, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben and Propylparaben.

Despite the big promises made by the manufacturer, we feel this formula is missing key anti-aging ingredients. Currently, there does not appear to be any sort of patented Collagen stimulator contained within Retanew™. As most people are aware, Collagen is what provides skin with its firm and smooth texture, but it also decreases with age and wrinkles and sags in the skin will begin to appear. We do not feel any anti-aging cream is complete without a patented Collagen stimulator and suggest that interested individuals look into a cream that contains Matrixyl 3000®.

However, we do feel Matrixyl 3000® generates the most results when contained in the same formula as Argireline®, which has also been patented for quality assurance. Argireline® causes the facial muscles to relax and smooth out in order to decrease the visibility of wrinkles on the top dermal layers. This process is said to both correct and prevent wrinkles and is meant to produce significant results around the eyes and forehead. Research indicates that Argireline® is capable of decreasing the severity of wrinkles by up to 30%, but results may be exemplified when paired with Matrixyl 3000® in a single formula. Currently, it does not appear that any of the Skin Doctors™ products contain either of these ingredients.

We find it interesting that with each product, the company website suggests a series of lifestyle changes that people should incorporate in order to see results. For example, with the Retanew™ cream the company recommends that people stop smoking, drink plenty of water, get enough sleep, de-stress, use sun protection, eat a diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables and consistently exercise. The company claims that these changes will be good for overall health and happiness, and that they may also slow down the aging process.

In the end, this skincare manufacturer makes many attractive promises and claims to consumers. We’re sure many people find it an appealing thought to see significant anti-aging results without the need for needles, doctors or pain, as this company notes. But after reviewing the contained formulas, we are not confident that these expensive creams will provide significant anti-wrinkle benefits. Again, we do suspect that a cream containing the above-mentioned Matrixyl 3000® and Argireline® may be better equipped to generate the desired results.

Again, it may be difficult for American consumers to purchase these products since the company website does not currently allow purchases from the United States. However, interested individuals may be able to find this brand for sale at other third party online stores.
