Replexion Review Summary

Replexion Anti-Wrinkle Cream is a product from a company that seems to have done its research on some of its included ingredients. It comes very close, in our opinion, to a very effective product, but it misses the mark by excluding ingredients we believe are essential.

We will examine the ingredients below to determine the formulations overall effectiveness.

Ingredients at a Glance
Replexion Anti-Wrinkle Cream includes: Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, also known as Argireline®, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide, Hyaluronic Acid, Retinyl Palmitate, Shea Butter, and Aloe Vera.

Ingredients in Focus
Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, or Argireline®, is made up of amino acids that relax the facial muscles, reduce the depth of existing wrinkles and stop future wrinkles from forming. With steady application, noticeable results are evident within 30 days. This is definitely a welcome change from injections that actually paralyze the facial muscles. This non-invasive, safe topical ingredient is ideal when one considers the alternatives.

Palmitoyl Pentapeptide, is another very effective ingredient that is included in this formula. It is known to promote the production of Collagen while strengthening the structure of the skin. It is not used in many formulas due to its expense, which is probably why this product is a bit more expensive than others on the market.

Palmitoyl Oligopeptide is also known to enhance Collagen production.

Retinyl Palmitate is a form of Vitamin A. Vitamin A, of course, is good for the skin. But, the amount of Retinol in most formulas is not enough to actually make a difference. In addition, most products lose their potency in storage due to Retinol’s instability as an ingredient. It is also potentially dangerous. It is advised that women who are pregnant should not use any product with Retinol in it due its possible link to birth defects.

Shea Butter has been used for thousands of years in Africa as a skin moisturizer, wrinkle treatment, and general all-purpose cream to keep skin healthy. It is even thought to increase Collagen production.

Aloe Vera has also been around for ages and helps to soothe damaged skin.

The website has a thorough description of the ingredients in the product. It has plenty of testimonials with the first and last names listed, ensuring authenticity. Unfortunately, there is no free trial of the product for customers to determine if it is right for them.

At $99.95, the cost is very expensive, especially with the exclusion of a key ingredient that we believe they shouldn’t have omitted. We are aware of formulas that offer free samples with almost the same ingredients or better.

Including Collagen in this formula would have been ideal, as it is the key substance in the dermis layer of the skin. As we age, this is depleted. Adding Collagen to an anti-aging formula is best.

• Contains Hyaluronic Acid
• Contains Argireline®

Final Thoughts
Although this product comes close to getting the best and most effective ingredients into one formula, there are two aspects of the formula that are not the most positive.

First of all, it includes Retinyl Palmitate, which essentially does nothing to aid the skin in regards to anti-aging. Most formulas have proven to not have enough of this ingredient in particular to make a difference. However, other products on the market do actually contain ingredients that have been clinically proven to reduce the depth and volume of wrinkles, and openly disclose those research results. As discussed, Collagen is a popular ingredient that has been shown to positively decrease wrinkle formation. For those interested in proven results, products containing Collagen may be preferred.
