Orlane Paris Review Summary |

For the last 40 years, Orlane Paris has defined itself by its “avant-garde” approach to skin care. This French company tries to capture the luxurious essence of the Riviera with its packaging and with remedies that are modeled after spa treatments. Its line of B21 products are designed to moisturize and provide nutrients as well as help to slow the aging process. However, the really unique aspect of Orlane’s line is probably its collection of Thalassotherapy treatments.
Using seawater or seaweed for cosmetic and therapeutic purposes, Thalassotherapy aims to draw impurities out of the skin and infuse it with oxygen and nutrients. It is believed that the practice first began because certain cultures believed that seawater is very close to blood plasma in composition, thus making it an excellent delivery system. Although using Orlane products may initially make one feel quite glamorous, unfortunately its products do not have the scientific proof to justify their high prices.

Because of its associations with luxurious spa treatments, algae is used in a number of skincare treatments. Some believe that it may have valuable antioxidant properties, but unfortunately there is no evidence that it has any effect on wrinkles or cellulite.

Considering Orlane Paris’s luxury prices, one would assume that the company would invest in a sleek-looking website, but it is actually surprisingly minimal. There is little information on company history, or philosophy, and the product descriptions reveal little of what the shiny jars contain. This is disappointing, since knowing the active ingredients can help consumers to determine whether or not a product is suitable for their skin type.
Orlane Paris does offer online shopping, but unfortunately it is only available through a third party retailer. While this site occasionally offers specials, it does not offer free samples or automatic shipping.

It’s hard to imagine an experience more decadent than a seaweed wrap in a spa on the French Riviera, and this is exactly the feeling Orlane is trying to capture. Although Thalassotherapy had a number of high-profile devotees in the 1960’s, skincare experts have since discovered more technologically advanced ways to improve the skin’s firmness.
Women may be happy to learn that wrinkle treatments in particular are more potent than ever, thanks to the discovery of advanced peptide complexes. Manufacturers that use these ingredients typically post this information prominently, since they want their customers to know exactly what they’re getting.
