Merle Roberts

Merle Roberts Review Summary

Merle Roberts® claims to offer a “boundless collection of health, beauty and anti-aging skin care products.” This claim may be quite true, for they offer products ranging from skin lightening creams to creams for foot care to hair care products. However, the claim may also be an exaggeration: the collection may not be boundless after all. Closer inspection of their “collection” revealed that their major investment is probably on anti-wrinkle products.

There are literally hundreds of different anti-aging products available that claim to be the best on the market. Some of these may be championing vitamins and minerals, while others may be hailing exotic herbs and natural extracts. Either way, more often than not these companies end up being mediocre in terms of effects. We fear that Merle Roberts® may be yet another mediocre company. We will take a look at Merle Roberts®, and specifically at their anti-aging products, to see if there may be advantages to these products over other options on the market today.

Products at a Glance
At the time of this review, Merle Roberts® only seems to offer over a dozen different face care products. We do appreciate that they seem to specialize on reducing the visible signs of aging. However, we find it disconcerting that they offer over half a dozen anti-aging products. Some of these products are as follows: Anti-Aging Dermabrasion Crème, Collagen Reverse Lift Crème, Anti-Aging Neck Firming Crème, Anti-Aging Tinted Moisturizer, CoQ10 Wrinkle Smoother, and Virgin Olive Oil Wrinkle Eraser.

Products in Focus
Co-enzyme Q10 is a naturally occurring vitamin-like substance in our bodies that is responsible for production of energy. Nowadays, it has become a popular part of dietary supplements. However, the lack of scientific evidence backing the claim that topical applications of CoQ10 leads to skin rejuvenation makes us skeptical of any skincare manufacturer promoting this ingredient.

On the other hand, Collagen, the main protein of connective tissues, has been found to be the primary agent in strengthening blood vessels and in developing new tissues, especially in skin. However, as we age, the production of Collagen by our bodies starts decreasing. As a result, our skin may begin to sag and form wrinkles. Advances in science have found ways to extract Collagen and use it to replenish the body’s natural production. We feel that this natural source, often called Real Collagen, may offer great results in terms of anti-wrinkle and anti-aging support.

Many individuals become more and more concerned with the signs of aging as they become older, hoping to slow down the visible signs or even reverse them, if possible. However, many people look to expensive medical treatments or even procedures like Botox® to work wonders. These treatments, although sometimes visible immediately, are generally temporary—and they are almost always expensive. These options, though, do not address the issue of aging in a sustained, safe, pain-free and cost-effective way. Instead, we feel that many consumers would be more satisfied with topical formulations that offer patented and proven ingredients such as Argireline® and Matrixyl 3000®. Along with Real Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid, these ingredients have shown dramatic results in the field of wrinkle reduction.

Final Thoughts
We believe that successful and dependable manufacturers seem to focus on marketing only one effective product. In light of this, we believe Merle Roberts® may not be the best choice since it offers so many anti-aging creams. We find such business practices to be counterproductive in the end. It may be that such companies are not confident about promoting a single product, and we reason that Merle Roberts® could probably have come up with a single, powerful formula with only their proven ingredients rather than creating a handful of mediocre products.

We reiterate that the best way to go about reducing fine lines and wrinkles may be to try a specialized cream. Such creams should have patented and proven ingredients, along with natural Collagen-boosting and moisturizing ingredients. Additionally, the best products should provide excellent refund policies and perhaps even a free trial, one of the best ways to test a product without feeling stuck with it. Finally, we feel that such products should come with press coverage from major media outlets as well as positive customer reviews on various consumer websites. These qualities will almost always point to a superior product.
