According to the founders of Juice Beauty, the same principles of purity and balance that apply to food also apply to cosmetics. For this reason, they created a line that uses pure, organic ingredients wherever possible in order to protect the skin from toxins.
While a number of brands incorporate organic plant extracts into their formulas, they usually use water as a base. Juice Beauty, as you may have already guess, does things just a bit differently by using organic fruit and vegetable bases instead. This may help consumers to feel like they’re getting a bit more for their money, but when it comes to producing results, there is no substitute for advanced technology.

Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Antioxidant Moisturizer is part of a complete Green Apple Collection, which uses apple, lemon, and grape juice as a base to help brighten and refresh the skin. It also includes antioxidants in the form of green tea, algae, aloe and Vitamin C. Considering the number of extracts in this product; it is easy to assume that it provides excellent protection against free radical damage and sun exposure. However, Vitamin C can be quite unstable, and unless it is formulated correctly it can easily be rendered ineffective in topical treatments. Plant extracts are less complicated chemically, but there is little evidence to indicate that they have any significant effect on wrinkles.
Perhaps because of the limitations of plant extracts, this product also includes peptides, which have been shown to soften lines and prevent new ones from forming. However, not all peptides are created equal, and unfortunately this product does not contain Argireline, a hexapeptide that helps to reduce the frequency of tiny facial twitches that over time can cause lines to form.

It also includes an ingredient glossary, which is becoming increasingly popular as cosmetics become more advanced. Understanding ingredients is extremely valuable to consumers, as it gives them a better understanding of how a certain product will (or won’t) benefit their skin.
Although consumers often assume that organic cosmetics will be gentle on their skin, unfortunately this is not always the case. That is why it is important for those with sensitive skin to try a product on a small patch of skin before applying it all over the face or body. Regrettably, Juice Beauty does not provide trial samples, so consumers must either order pay full price plus shipping for the product they want to try, or locate a local retailer.
