The Imedeen® line of skin supplements is purported to improve the skin’s quality, structure and appearance by delivering quality and simple supplements. Their product line includes: Imedeen® Time PerfectionTM, Imedeen® Prime RenewalTM and Imedeen® Tan OptimizerTM.

When researching a product line, it may be important to take one product and give it a thorough review to see how effective the ingredients and technology used may be in terms of augmenting skin health. Imedeen® Time PerfectionTM is one of their anti-aging supplements, and it was specifically designed to assist individuals in defending their skin against time and sun damage. It contains a variety of elements, including Biomarine Complex™, LycoPhence GS™ and Vitamin C.

Some of these ingredients have been shown to be effective in this venue. The Biomarine Complex contains proteins and polysaccharides, which originate from “a deep-sea fish”; however, we would have felt more secure if they had reviewed exactly what their source was in order to ease our concerns regarding safety and effectiveness.

However, they are a bit more forthcoming with the LycoPhence GS use in this formula. This complex contains Grape Seed Extract, a known antioxidant; and Lycopene, which is a lipophilic antioxidant, meaning that it “is active in lipid (fatty) environments, such as the cell membranes”. In realty, these elements may be healthful, and may well boost overall health, as well as increase skin quality. However, we feel neither is a substitute for a good topical skin care regimen that includes potent elements, such as Matrixyl 3000® or Real Collagen.

This website is comprehensive and educational. It provides information on many different aspects of skin health, as well as outlining the different ways skin may be damaged; not only by the aging process, but by environmental toxins and sun damage. For instance, they cover how much damage the sun may do to skin cells, not just in terms of causing skin cancer, but also that it may accelerate the aging process. They also post testimonials written by customers, which is great to see, because we have seen far too many developers leave this valuable consumer-driven tool off their websites, a disturbing trend.
