Firmalift Review Summary

Firmalift® is a skincare product promised to “smooth away the appearance of aging.” This serum is manufactured by the company, Distinction, which also promotes a number of other aging products. In fact, Firmalift® is part of a skincare “kit”, and said to work most effectively when also used in conjunction with several other Distinction products.

Many women prefer when an anti-aging cream is able to deliver results on its own. Not only is it more convenient and affordable to use a single product, but we have more trust in a company that puts their efforts behind just one anti-aging cream. Regardless, we will examine this product’s formula closer to determine what type of skincare benefits it may provide.

Ingredients at a Glance
Firmalift® contains the following ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Butylene Glycol, Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) Extract, Echinacea Purpurea Extract, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Glycereth-26, Sodium Hyaluronate, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Soluble Collagen, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Silk Amino Acids, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Panthenol, Sodium PCA, Allantoin, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Geranium Maculatum Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate-20, Disodium EDTA, Carbomer, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Yellow 5 and Red 40.

As evident from the above list, this product contains a rather high amount of ingredients, which may hinder its overall potency. We cannot help but wonder if a cream with fewer, more concentrated ingredients would provide more visible and lasting results.

Ingredients in Focus
We are pleased to see that this product contains Collagen, which is the most abundant form of protein found in the skin. Unfortunately, as we age, Collagen levels decline, and skin loses its supple firmness. Collaged-based creams are supposed to lend the skin this desired firmness, and may enhance the overall appearance of skin. However, there are different types and qualities of Collagen, and this formula does not indicate if their product is low-grade or synthetic.

Based on the ingredients, it does not appear this cream provides the necessary composition to effectively tackle wrinkles. Another ingredient, Matrixyl 3000®, may increase the production of Collagen, which is largely responsible for the firmness of skin. It is thought that as people as age, Collagen levels are depleted, and wrinkles occur. Matrixyl 3000® may offer a powerful method to reduce wrinkles, but unfortunately, is not contained within this cream.

Website
As of review, there is no product website for Firmalift®, but a product description is posted on the manufacturer website. The description is rather short and vague, and there are no consumer reviews posted to indicate how this serum has worked for other people in the past.

We would like to note that this product is featured on a popular website that takes a look at alternative medicines, diet products, skincare products and much more. This website notes that Firmalift®, and the kit it comes in, may over-advertise their abilities, and only offer temporary solutions at best.

Positives
• Complete formula is posted online
• Moderately priced

Final Thoughts
Firmalift® contains several moisturizers and a source of Collagen, but its anti-aging effects may be limited. On its own, Firmalift® costs just under $40, but when purchased in the skincare kit, it will be much more expensive.

Not only does this serum not contain a Collagen stimulator, but it is featured unfavorably on known website. In fact, we do not believe the formula offers a powerful component to combat wrinkles. Many women may be more pleased with the results of a product that contains the above mentioned ingredient, Matrixyl 3000®.
