Some of the treatments in Dr. Renaud’s line include: Cleansing Foaming Gel, Tender Scrub, Raspberry Milk, Sensicalm Cream, Perfect Skin Serum, Happy-Choc Cream, Starlift Cream, Nutri-Complexe Cream, Sun Stop Cream, Smooth Look Eye Mask, and Peach Skin Body Milk.

Dr. Renaud’s Starlift Cream is part of the brand’s anti-aging collection, and is designed to nourish and firm the skin. It contains the advanced peptide complex Matrixyl, which has been shown to stimulate collagen synthesis, thus plumping up the skin’s “cushion.” This helps to restore firmness as well as smooth out wrinkles from under the surface. In order to keep the skin hydrated, Starlift Cream also contains the excellent water-binding agent Hyaluronic Acid.

As effective as Matrixyl may be, there are additional ingredients that may enhance its effects that unfortunately are not included in Starlift Cream. Argireline, for example, is another peptide complex that has been shown to inhibit the tiny facial twitches that over time can cause lines to form. For this reason, it is often touted as a less invasive alternative to Botox injections.

The English version of Dr. Renaud’s website could use a bit of work. Although it provides a complete company history and descriptions of all products, it does not include much information about how each formula actually works to improve the skin on a cellular level. As consumers grow savvier, a growing number of cosmetics companies have begun to include ingredient glossaries on their websites so that shoppers can determine exactly what they’re getting in each formula. Although Dr. Renaud’s website lists active ingredients, it does not provide much description.

This site is also missing one of the most essential features of all: shopping. Dr. Renaud does not sell its products through its website, and does not provide information spas or stores outside of France. Although they are available through third party websites, this option offers reduced quality assurance.

Dr. Renaud products contain some excellent ingredients that have been shown to significantly improve the appearance of aging skin. However, at the time of this review, it was somewhat difficult to obtain them in the United States. Fortunately, there are other products currently on the market that include all of the most advanced features of a treatment like Starlift Cream, and take it to the next level. Consumers should look for products that offer not only reliable ingredient, but also scientific evidence to back their claims.
