Derma E’s wide range of products consists of treatments for seemingly every kind of skin affliction, from ageing to eczema. Some of these products include: Tea Tree and E Oil, Vanilla Bean Cleansing Mousse, Peptides Plus® Double Action Wrinkle Reverse Crème, Hyaluronic Acid Rehydrating Serum, Scar Gel, Clear Vein Cream Spider Vein/Bruise Solution, Tea Tree and E Deep Cleansing Shampoo with Jojoba Oil, as well as herbal transdermal treatments.

Peptides Plus Double Action Wrinkle Reverse Cream is part of Derma E’s line of “Ultimate” products, which contain two patented antioxidants as well as two peptide-based ingredients. While there are a number of excellent antioxidants currently available, these two collagen boosting peptide complexes have been shown to be truly outstanding. Together, Matrixyl 3000 and Argireline have been shown to not only prevent new wrinkles from forming, but actually fill in existing lines from beneath the surface by stimulating the production of new collagen. This keeps the skin from sagging, and helps to restore the plump and firmness typically associated with youth.

Regrettably, for all of its potential, this product still falls a bit flat by not including an advanced water-binding agent such as Hyaluronic Acid. There are several other Hyaluronic Acid products in Derma E’s line, but this means that consumers have to spend almost twice as much in order to get a complete treatment. This seems a bit unreasonable, considering that there are more well-rounded products currently available

The Derma E website posts a very informative company history as well as a thorough explanation of its “green” philosophy. But for all of its touting of natural plant extracts, the company provides relatively little information on its botanical ingredients, save a cumbersome PDF document.

Online shopping is available through the Derma E website, but the company does not offer an automatic ship program, so consumers must consistently monitor their supply and remember to order more. This would be especially helpful for anyone who has ever run out of their favorite product and had to wait days for a new package to arrive.

Derma E’s efforts toward sustainable business are quite admirable, as are the company’s contributions to charity. However, consumers could benefit from a bit more generosity when it comes to selecting products for Derma E’s line. While there are a number of excellent products to choose from, those looking to treat their wrinkles as well as hydrate the skin may find that they have to purchase two treatments instead of just one. This increases the total cost of a skin care regimen as well as time spent in front of the bathroom mirror every morning and evening.
