Clientele Cosmetics

Clientele Cosmetics Review Summary

Clientele is one of the skincare lines created by Pat Riley, who appears regularly on QVC promoting her various skin care and nutrition products. The Clientele line offers a variety of cleansers, toners, moisturizers and anti-aging products. The company claims to use the most advanced ingredients that are available today to generate significant results and rejuvenated skin.

This skin care line has many different wrinkle “treatments” from which to choose. Some women prefer to purchase from a company that stands behind the effectiveness of a single anti-aging formula, since they value quality over quantity. Nonetheless, we will take a closer look at the Clientele line as a whole to determine what type of benefits it may provide.

Products at a Glance
The clientele line allows individuals to choose from facial cleansers, eye make-up removers, body washes, acne treatments and a large number of anti-aging products. Some of these products are advertised to provide “instant” results, and are purported to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

We are concerned to see that the company website does not display the complete ingredient lists for each of these products at this time, and only posts very limited product descriptions. This is likely to be frustrating for those who wish to research a product before use to ensure quality and to avoid potential allergic reactions. We believe it also makes it hard to distinguish which anti-aging product may best address your needs.

Products in Focus
The Clientele Wrinkle Treatment cream is said to be the most popular within the line. As with the other products, this cream is not accompanied by a complete ingredient list, so we find it is not possible to verify what benefits it may provide. Though, the company claims that this cream will soften wrinkles “in seconds”, and mentions it is “excellent for the delicate under-eye area to diminish fine dry lines.”

If this cream contains moisturizing agents, it may be successful in smoothing the skin of fine lines, since dry skin may accentuate the appearance of wrinkles and make skin appear older than it is. However, this is likely to just address the surface of the skin, and may not provide lasting results.

We feel there are effective anti-aging formulas on the market, and especially like the ingredient, Argireline®, which is said to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by relaxing the facial muscles. This ingredient has been shown to be effective, and is available in other products on the market.

Website
There is no Clientele website as of review, but the line is featured on the Elastology site, which is one of the CEO’s other product lines. We feel this website is rather chaotic, and all of the Clientele products are grouped together on a single webpage. We wonder if the person who designed this site simply did not have the patience to provide each of the products with their own webpage, complete with a detailed product description, posted ingredient list, cited research and consumer reviews.

Positives
• Some of the products are moderately priced
• Company claims to use high quality ingredients

Final Thoughts
In the end, Clientele products may intrigue some women, especially since several are advertised to provide instant anti-aging results. We feel if this line were as effective as the manufacturer claims, it would show through the attention they give to the promotion of their products. Currently, there is little information offered for these creams beyond the hyped advertisements and claims. It appears Clientele expects individuals to believe their products will work simply because they say so, and do not attempt to provide any further evidence.

Some women may wish to continue their product search. If that is the case, we suggest looking for products that contain the above mentioned ingredient, Argireline®, which is said to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by 30%. Fortunately, it is possible to find an Argireline®-based product online, and the most reputable usually also include advanced ingredients, like Matrixyl 3000® and Hyaluronic Acid.
