Caracol Cream™ is an anti-aging product that promotes “amazing” benefits. In fact, the company behind this cream claims it eliminates the appearance of even the deepest wrinkles. This product is said to contain exotic ingredients from Chile, and the company offers a money-back guarantee. We do wish to note that many products that claim to generate instant, over-the-top results usually fail to perform as advertised, especially products that have not cited research or studies to support the outrageous claims of the manufacturer.

Nonetheless, we will still take a closer look at this cream to determine what anti-aging benefits it may offer consumers.

According to the company website, this product may contain some of the following ingredients: Chilean Mountain Snail Extract, Natural Allantoin, Natural Collagen, Natural Elastins, Glycolic Acid, Anti-Biotic Peptides, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and other natural ingredients that are said to help block UV rays.

The most active ingredient in this formula appears to be Chilean Mountain Snail Extract. The manufacturer claims that this ingredient is the secret behind Caracol Cream™’s abilities, yet they fail to support any of these magnificent claims with cited research or studies to show that this formula and its ingredients have been tested for safety and effectiveness. In addition, we have not come across any studies that indicate this particular extract will provide any anti-aging benefits.

Some people may be pleased to know that this product contains Vitamin C and E. These two ingredients are known to provide multiple benefits to the skin. Not only are they said to hydrate and protect the skin, but they may also work to correct any current sun damage and may even eliminate scarring. However, we feel it’s important to note that we do not feel either of these vitamins will provide individuals with significant anti-aging benefits, especially when it comes to the reduction of wrinkles and fine lines.

This formula also contains Vitamin A (also known as Retinol). This ingredient is thought to be a strong irritant but is still contained within many skincare products since it can cause the top dermal layers to peel away. This process is thought to reveal younger, newer looking skin by eliminating blemishes and acne. There are many that claim this process may also reduce the appearance of wrinkles, but Retinol has yet to be proven to have a significant effect in the anti-aging arena. Furthermore, this ingredient is associated with adverse side effects and may cause some people experience dry, red patches of skin as well as increased sensitivity to the sun.

The Caracol Cream™ product website is fairly basic, primarily consisting of a single web page. It is not easy to navigate as most of the information is jumbled together and not cohesively organized. We found it interesting that the company displays a sign that this cream was “featured” on CNN, MSN, Yahoo Health and several other news agencies. However, when we did a search to verify these claims, we did not come across any articles or references to Caracol Cream™ on these websites.

In addition, the product website continually stresses that there are limited quantities and limited-time free samples. We feel that this is a way for the company to pressure sales, and we doubt that these claims are in fact true.

In the end, the company behind Caracol Cream™ makes some rather incredible claims, yet it fails to provide the evidence that this product will live up to such promises. Since the company makes such an effort to pressure sales, we suspect that this cream is not all that the manufacturer claims. Furthermore, we came across a number of negative reviews for Caracol Cream™ that stated this product may not have performed well as an anti-aging cream. Fortunately, there are plenty of other products on the market to choose from. We suggest consumers look for a product that contains proven ingredients and comes from a reputable company that is able to stand behind the product’s claims.
