BIOTOX makes use of the following ingredients in its formulary: Argireline, Marine Collagen, C12-13 Alkyl Lactate, Moist-24, Cranberry Fruit Extract and Triple Sunscreen Agent.

Cranberry Seed Extract is extracted from cranberry fruit, which contains proanthocyanidins, which are where this extract’s antioxidant and anti-inflammatory abilities come from. It has been used extensively in folk medicine to treat UTI’s.

Pure Marine Collagen is extracted from marine life. Collagen in general is a protein which holds skin together and plays a large role in skin health and in the aging process. Marine Collagen is used in many supplements and beauty formulas in order to attempt to replenish collagen in the facial skin.

Argireline is a mix of amino acids which has shown excellent results in decreasing the effects of aging by relaxing wrinkles, lessening the amount of observable wrinkles on the face and delaying the on set of additional wrinkles.

Buddha Care uses a very moderate formulary in BIOTOX. It uses some very standard ingredients, which are commonly found in many similar products. Ingredients like Marine Collagen which can be found in most formulas, in order to try to replace the collagen that steadily declines as we age.

However, we would have preferred to have seen this formula use collagen combined with Matrixyl 3000® a successful patented skin care ingredient. Matrixyl 3000® has effectively been used to help increase actual collagen production in those who use it. In our opinion, when this ingredient is combined with real collagen it can be an extremely powerful skin rejuvenator. This ingredient is used in the most innovative anti-aging skin care products. It was disappointing that this ingredient was not included in this formulary.

Also, we could not determine why Buddha Care would include Cranberry Extract in its formulary. It is definitely an herbal extract with some very healthful and healing attributes. However, it has no known ability to enhance skin health.

Nevertheless, we were glad to see Argireline listed in BIOTOX’s ingredient list. It is definitely a must have in any ant-aging and anti-wrinkle formula.

It can be very frustrating and depressing when age starts to show its uneven hand on your face in the form of wrinkles, crow’s feet, expression lines, sagging and other blemishes. We firmly believe that facial creams which use the most comprehensive and successful ingredients available can help consumers, rejuvenate and transform their facial skin.

Although, when there are so many lackluster formulas on the market, in our opinion, it is important to take the time to sort out the products, which can not perform, from the ones which can definitely deliver phenomenal results. In order to do that we believe it is important to thoroughly review their ingredients and choose the ones which have most successful formula; while disregarding the hype the often surround these types of products.

Overall, BIOTOX’s formulary is very temperate in terms of the ingredients it uses and may produce very moderate results. This product does not use any new or innovative ingredients or technology, such as Matrixyl 3000; which has been shown to be able to boost and enhance collagen production in facial skin. However, Argireline is used in BIOTOX, which we think is an excellent ingredient in terms of providing skin smoothing and reviving power. However, this lone ingredient is not enough to carry this formula and make it a heavy duty anti-aging formula. Although, it is an important component of all the successful formulas we have seen on the market which can generate effective results.

Also, we could not understand their inclusion of cranberry extract in this product, when it is clearly best suited for herbal products, which are used to treat UTI’s. We would have liked to have seen some information and research regarding this matter clearly posted on their website – but there was none.

In general, we believe Buddha Care attempts to do too much with its product line; and BIOTOX suffers for its manufacturer’s distraction. In our estimation, this product could have been very successful if the manufacturer had made some more modern formulary choices.
