AlphaDerma CE Review Summary |
|
Janson Beckett is the company behind the skin care formula AlphaDerma CE. This company has an extensive line of skin care, wrinkle reducing and anti-aging products. They’re specialty in terms of skin care is what they call “BOTOX® alternatives”, which AlphaDerma CE is purported to be. Janson Beckett says that their product line uses formulas which are “comprised of the highest quality, safest anti-aging ingredients that provide maximum wrinkle and fine line reduction and results”.
They have launched AlphaDerma CE as a new anti-aging and wrinkle reducing product, which they say is “the most aggressive step taken to Reverse Fine Lines and Depth of Wrinkles on the Face and Neck due to aging”. However, this is an industry in which a great many companies make very similar claims; some can deliver very good results, while others can not. We will thoroughly investigate AlphaDerma CE to see if it can deliver the advertised results or not.

AlphaDerma CE’s formulary makes use of the following ingredients in its formulary: Soy, DMAE, Elastin, Argireline and Vitamin C Ester, as well as other ingredients listed on the website.
Soy is actually soybean, a plant from Eastern Asia, which is used as a food. It is used in industrial products such as: plastics, soaps, resins, inks, crayons, solvents, clothing, biodiesel, cosmetics and oils.
DMAE is also called Dimethylaminoethanol, which is an organic compound, which is thought to improve mood and alertness. It is being tested to see if it has any ability to increase the lifespan of animals and humans.
Elastin, is a protein found in connective tissue, providing the elasticity, which allows the bodies tissue to take up again their shape when stretched. Elastin also aids the skin to go back to its original position when it is poked or pinched. Elastin is very important for proper functioning in the lungs, arteries, bladder, skin, elastic ligaments and elastic cartilage.
Vitamin C Ester is a combination of Ascorbic Acid and Palmitci, which is a good of source of Vitamin C. It is both an antioxidant and food additive

 | Ingredients In Focus |
|
AlphaDerma CE is a purported by its manufacturer to be a cure all for age related skin woes. It is advertised as being able to “reverse fine lines and depth of wrinkles on the face and neck due to aging”, as well as “diminish stretch marks and scars while firming sagging skin due to weight loss and pregnancy”. In general, this is a tall order, which we do not believe the formulary used in AlphaDerma CE, can deliver.
In general, this formulary uses very weak skin replenishing agents, such as Vitamin C Ester, Elastin, DMAE and Soy. The ingredients may”look” good on the label because they are all very health producing ingredients; however, they are not tradionally used topically to aid in skin rejunivation. For instance, Vitamin C Ester is a great vitamin to take when you are sick to help fight off infection; however, it has no known ability to generate skin health. Also, Elastin is necessary for good bodily functioning and to maintain the health of certain organs; such as the lungs, arteries and bladder, but once again it has no known effect on enhancing skin health when used as a topical orintment. This is the case with many of the ingredients used in this formula.
However, we were glad to see that this product uses Argireline in its formulary. It is the one ingredient that is used in AlphaDerma CE, which we believe may be of some help in decreasing the effects of aging. It is a mix of amino acids, which have been shown to be able to relax facial wrinkles, decrease the degree of existing wrinkles, and impede their future progression. In our estimation, formulas, which use this ingredient, have had very successful results.
However, we were disappointed that AlphaDerma CE does not use the phenomenal skin hydrating ingredient - Hyaluronic Acid, which has been used successfully in many products to boost the smoothness, elasticity and softness of facial skin, as well as diminish wrinkles.

 | Lifestyle |
|
In general, this is a very benign formula, which given how expensive it is, makes it hard for us to recommend. It does not use the most comprehensive and effective ingredients in its formulary. However, it does contain a sun block of SPF 15, which may be helpful to some individuals.
Although, that’s SPF may not be very effective for women with fair skin. In general, using sun block is recommended to preserve both the health and the youthfulness of skin. Also, some research has suggested that exercise and a health diet can have a direct influence on skin health and appearance; along with a good skin care routine, which includes a good skin care product.

 | Positives |
|
• Uses Argireline
|
 | Negatives |
• Expensive
• Many customers have spoken of their disappointments with this product on consumer blogs. Click here to read more about these on the AlphaDerma CE blog.
• Does not use Hyaluronic Acid
• Uses too many ingredients with no history of being able to restore skin health

 | Final Thoughts |
|
AlphaDerma CE is a very gentle skin care product, which would be best suited for consumers who do not need or want a heavy hitting skin rejuvenation product. This product can not, in our opinion, deliver the advertised results of “diminish stretch marks and scars while firming sagging skin due to weight loss and pregnancy”. In order to achieve these kinds of results this formulary would have had to use more effective ingredients, such as Hyaluronic Acid, a powerful skin hydrator. AlphaDerma CE does not use this important element, instead this manufacturer has decided to used “filler” ingredients, which look good on paper and suggest healthful benefits, but, which have no proven ability to increase skin health when used topically.
However, we were glad to see that this product did include Argireline in its formula; often when Argireline and Hyaluronic Acid, are used together the best results are achieved. It is a shame that AlphaDerma CE does not make use of this powerful combination. In general, we believe that product skin care treatments can help reduce wrinkle and restore skin health, when they use effective and modern ingredients.
AlphaDerma CE can be purchased directly from the website for $129.99.
