Algotherm Review Summary |

Algotherm Wrinkle and Firming Program is a division of the skincare line Algotherm, which offers a full range of skincare products. This line of products is said to “give the skin a visibly younger aspect and regained firmness.” The manufacturer also claims that “your complexion will regain its freshness and vitality.”
It seems that this Deauville, France-based manufacturer is quite focused on a high-end, “spa”-type line of skincare products. While this may be enjoyable as a concept, it is worth very little if the products themselves are not strong and reliable. Based on the information we have gleaned about the Wrinkle and Firming Program, this does not seem to be the most targeted, potent approach to age-reversal. Perhaps more importantly, at time of review, it seems to us that this company’s products are not available for purchase from the Website. Because this manufacturer is based in France, we think this may present quite an obstacle to online shoppers. We will evaluate this product line based on the quality of its ingredients and its practicality to international consumers.

For the purposes of this review, we will focus on only one of the products in this line, the Photo Corrective Wrinkle Cream. This product is said to contain “Native Alga and Marine Spheres, Hyaluronic Acid Derivative, Pro Vitamin E, Silicon Derivative and Light Corrective Pigments.” It seems to us that this list of ingredients does not feature many of the most advanced anti-aging components now available. While we were pleased to see the words “Hyaluronic Acid,” we then realized that this ingredient is actually a “Hyaluronic Acid Derivative.”
We feel that pure Hyaluronic Acid can have an astounding ability to lock in and retain the skin’s youthful moisture. We are at a loss as to why the actual ingredient was not included. We also would have preferred to see potent anti-aging ingredients such as Argireline and Matirxyl 3000®, which are known for their ability to fill deep wrinkles and restore skin elasticity.

Although this site is very eye-catching and “sophisticated,” we have to note that attempting to navigate it can be quite annoying. In our effort to examine the Wrinkle and Firming Program products, we found that clicking on the products caused the images to jump around, yielding only brief descriptions of each product. The site also was filled with irritating pop-ups, music, and many other features clearly designed to be appealing but potentially annoying.
Instead of all of these “bells and whistles,” we would have preferred to see some rather basic Website features, such as perhaps the capability of purchasing products from the site. We also would have liked to see some positive consumer testimonials for this line of products, since testimonials are often an excellent indication of the consumer response.

Ultimately, it is our belief that these products seem difficult to acquire, questionable in content, and not necessarily backed by the approval of consumers. For this reason, we are not certain that this is a superior choice for online shoppers.
We feel that online shopping has become the new standard in modern commerce, and believe that manufacturers owe this courtesy to their customers. We also would encourage consumers to seek out products that can be returned for a full refund if unsatisfactory.
